PURPOSE:A makeup cosmetic having improved touch during use and improved stability with time, containing thin pieces of a synthetic metallic oxide such as alumina, silica, magnesia, etc., having specific sizes and refractive index, as pigment. CONSTITUTION:A makeup cosmetic containing thin pieces of a synthetic metallic oxide (e.g., alumina, silica or magnesia) having 0.1-2mum average thickness, 1-100 average size defined as (the longest diameter of thin piece + the shortest diameter)/2 and 1.45-1.8 refractive index. The metallic oxide can freely change refractive index by using it as an oxide mixture, a mixture having a little higher refractive index of 1.6-1.8 is used when properly fine luster is required and a mixture with a little lower refractive index is used when a transparent feeling is emphasized. The blending ratio of the fine pieces of metallic oxide is 2-60wt% in oily foundation and 20-90wt% in pressed powder, etc. |
