<p>Electrostatic recording apparatus has a magnetic brush (9), with a rotatable magnet roller (5) and a fixed cylindrical sleeve (4) outside the roller (5), a recording electrode (1) and a back electrode (7) having a gap between them through which a recording medium (3) moves, when the apparatus is in use, in contact with a tip of the recording electrode (1). The recording electrode (1) has a molded body (51) with stylus electrodes (2) embedded therein, and also has a magnetic piece or pieces (52, 52') embedded therein, in a tip portion thereof. The magnetic piece or pieces (52, 52') serve to concentrate magnetic field in the gap between the recording electrode (1) and back electrode (7). This enables chains of magnetic toner particles (6) to stand upright on the back electrode (7) to contact the recording medium (3) uniformly, mitigating the problem of dot defects. </p> |
