<p>PURPOSE:To make it unnecessary to stop the driving of the copying operation system on the main machine side even if the situation of paper clogging or of non-paper occurs in a cassette by providing a driving means for shifting a restraining means to a restraint removing condition. CONSTITUTION:A driving mechanism 14 shifts a restraining means 13 to a restraint removing condition based on the detected results of paper clogging detecting mechanisms 15, 16 and a non-paper detecting mechanism 17 in a cassette A. The paper clogging detecting mechanisms 15, 16 detect the clogging of a sheet of paper when the front or rear end of a sheet of paper does not pass through the detecting parts at a defined number of pulses, while the non- paper condition when a sheet of paper 9 on a carrying board 18 has exhausted and the end part of a sensor 20 has fallen on an opening 19. Accordingly, a driving priority sensor 11 on the main machine side is operated based on the detected non-paper or paper clogging condition in the cassette A, to make the same control as in the case of primary non-paper detecting on the main machine side. Thereby, even if a trouble occurs in any device other than the main machine side, provision is made for not stopping the driving of the copying operation system of the main machine.</p> |
