An outer sole for a cross-country ski shoe is disclosed. The outer sole is comprised of a sole plate member 2 having toe, forefoot, arch and heel sections. The lower surface of the sole plate member 2 has a pair of transversely spaced, longitudinally extending side walls 6,8 defining between them a longitudinally extending groove 4. The groove 4 has a width sufficient to receive the ski 30. The groove 4 extends through at least the forefoot, arch and heel sections. |
