PURPOSE:To enhance close adhesiveness and solvent resistance and to make it possible to enhance printing yield, by applying low temp. plasma treatment to a mash made of polyester or nylon with 100-mesh or more in the presence of inorg. gas under pressure of 0.01-10torr and wetting the surface of said mesh with a wetting reagent with wettability of 40 or more. CONSTITUTION:A mesh for screen printing is made of a polyester or nylon mesh material with 100-mesh or more, pref., 100-250-mesh and subjected to low temp. plasma treatment to impart wettability to the surface of said mesh. In this case, treatment is performed by a method wherein the mesh is held in a pressure reducible low temp. plasma generation apparatus and, for example, high frequency power of 10kHz-100MHz is applied between electrodes while inorg. gas is supplied to said apparatus under low pressure of 0.01-10torr. As the inorg. gas to be used, helium, neon, argon, nitrogen, nitrous oxide, nitrogen dioxide, oxygen, air, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, hydrogen, chlorine, hydrogen chloride, sulfur dioxide and hydrogen sulfide etc. are designated and these gases are used alone or a mixed state. |
