PURPOSE:To prevent a miscopy caused by an operation mistake by releasing a book copy mode which is being performed, when a manual feed copy mode is detected, and also inhibiting a designation of a new book copy mode. CONSTITUTION:A start button 50 of an operating panel is pushed, and a book copy mode is selected by a key 83. An original on an original platen is divided into two areas of the right and the left, scanned optically and successively, and a latent image is formed on a photosensitive drum. When the book copy mode is being performed, if opening of a manual feed door is detected and displayed 112 on a display part 100, the book copy mode is released automatically. Also, when opening of the manual feed door is displayed 112, it is inhibited to receive a designation of the book copy mode. In this way, a combination of two incompatible functions is inhibited, and a miscopy caused by a user's operating mistake can be prevented. |
