<p>PURPOSE:To carry out smooth removal of astringency and prevent the black spot symptom, by placing stringent persimmons on top of each other in plural stages in a container, providing a porous sheet and water holding material having air permeability in a suitable stage thereof and sprinkling an alcohol thereon in the above-mentioned state. CONSTITUTION:Astrigent persimmons 1 are placed on top of each other in plural stages through a suitable cushioning material 5 and contained in a container 2. In the process, porous sheet 3, impermeable to liquids and having air permeability, e.g. polyethylene or polypropylene, and a water holding material 4, e.g. nonwoven fabric or corrugated board, on at least the top surface of the porous sheet 3 are provided in a position of suitable stage of the above- mentioned astringent persimmons 1. An aqueous solution of an alcohol, e.g. ethyl alcohol, is sprayed or sprinkled from above the container 2 in this state, and the container 2 is then sealed up and allowed to stand for 7-20 days to carry out smooth removal of astingency.</p> |
