PURPOSE:To enhance white color sensitivity and to enlarge spectral sensitivity range by successively forming an electrostatic charge generating layer composed of the first layer and the second layer through hetero junction and a charge transfer layer containing a specified electron accepting organic material. CONSTITUTION:The first charge generating layer 4 is formed by vapor depositing CdTe on the conductive substrate 1 in vacuum, and heat treating it at about 400-600 deg.C for about 30-60min in succession. The second charge generating layer 5 is formed by sputtering ZnS or CdS on the layer 4 and again likewise heat treating it to obtain the charge generating layer 2. Further, the layer 2 is coated with a solution composed essentially of the electron accepting organic material (DDQ) represented by the formula shown on the right and when needed, a binder, and dried to form a charge transfer layer 3, and the intended electrophotographic sensitive body is thus obtained. Said material DDQ is contained in an amount of, preferably, 30-90wt% of the charge transfer layer 3. |
