FLAME-RETARDANT AND FLAME-RETARDANT WOOD MATERIAL

PURPOSE:A flame-retardant for cold curing type surface coating having improved weather resistance, containing a water-soluble 3-(dialkylphosphono) propionamide and a melamine resin as essential solid components. CONSTITUTION:The aimed flame-retardant containing (A) 100pts.wt. calculated as solid content of a water-soluble 3-(dialkylphosphono) propionamide shown by the formula (R1 and R2 are 1-3C alkyl; R3 is H or methyl) and (B) >=100pts. wt. (preferably 100-400pts.wt.) water-soluble melamine resin as essential components, in an aqueous solution at <=3pH.
