<p>A food storage cabinet is located within a chilled chamber and holds non-wrapped animal or vegetable products that are removed for use as required. The food storage cabinet has an internal atmosphere of conservation gas that is recycled into a holding bottle prior to opening the cabinet door, and released back into the cabinet after the door has closed. The conservation gas is maintained at above ambient atmospheric pressure within the cabinet. During a meat maturing phase of storage, the internal pressure is varies by e.g. 990 mbar or more at intervals. The conservation gas is exposed to an ultraviolet sterilization lamp and an ozone generator.</p> |
