Test system for sterile analysis of biological fluids comprises a beaker (1) with a lid (2) which can form a hermetic seal. A test strip (3) is either mounted inside the beaker or outside it, when an aperture (4) connects it with the interior of the beaker. Independent claims are also included for: (a) use of the system in determination of proteins using the following reagents (%): known precipitation agents 71 - 89; polysaccharides 5 - 12; di- or tri-carboxylic acids 1 - 3; disaccharides 1 - 3; water-soluble polymers 3 - 8; and Ficoll-400 1 - 3; and (b) use of the system linked to a video system, e.g. a web cam and computer.
