<p>A system and method is presented for tracking and tracing currency bills involved in the deposit and widrawal transactions. A transactions identifier is obtanied. Currency bills involved in the transaction are scanned in order to obtain their serial numbers. The serial numbers are then linked to the transection identifier.</p>
