PURPOSE:To prevent a reduction of air flow due to its hitting the side walls even if the air flow is greatly deflected in the lateral deflection and enlarge the angle of lateral air flow deflection by shaping the side walls of the outlet grill into curved walls expanding toward the direction of outlet to widen the areal size of the outlet. CONSTITUTION:Vanes 9 for lateral air flow deflection rotatably disposed in the outlet passage 3a of the outlet grill 3 are formed in the shape of arc. Side walls 3b of the outlet grill 3 are gradually widened toward the direction of outlet in conformance to the direction of the curved part of the lateral air flow deflection vanes 9. The reason why the lateral air flow deflection vanes 9 are curved is to deflect the air flow by the Coanda effect in cooperation with the curvature of the side walls 3b. When the air blown by a fan (windward) is laterally deflected by the lateral air flow deflection vanes 9 in the outlet passage 3a, the air will flow to the leeward side along the side walls 3b of the outlet, resulting in a significant improvement of reduction of air flow.
