NEW MATERIAL:A 5-amino-4-chloro-1H-pyrazole based compound expressed by the formula (R1 is 1-30C primary alkyl; A is protonic acid; n is 0 or a positive number). EXAMPLE:4-Chloro-5-hydrazino-3-methyl-1H-pyrazole.hydrochloride. USE:Useful as an intermediate capable of producing excellent photographic couplers in a wide range and in high yield. For example, 1H-pyrazolo[3,2- c]-1,2,4-triazole based compound is excellent as a magenta coupler used as a color photographic sensitive material in that the long wavelength part is sharply cut without secondary absorption. PREPARATION:As shown in the reaction formula, a raw material is reacted with a chlorinating agent, e.g. sulfuryl chloride, in a solvent, e.g. carbon tetra chloride, at <=60 deg.C to afford the aimed compound expressed by the formula. The raw material is obtained by reacting an alpha-acyliminoacetic acid ester with hydrazine. |
