<p>The spherical joint (15) has a shaft (13) with a semi-spherical bearing (16) retaining a journal (18) at mating semi-spherical surfaces(21). A second shaft (19) has the journal mounted on it and on a longitudinal axis (L) for pivotal movement. An annular seal (22) is mounted between the two sections on each side of the journal. Each seal permits flexing to prevent stretching, or compression in response to pivotal movement between the two sections. The seal can have an elastomeric section (24) with a main body (25) extending radially inwardly from an outboard end of the seal to an inboard end. The seal can have an annular outer ring secured within the first. An annular inner ring is mounted on the second section.
