PURPOSE:To prevent occurrence of flaws caused by sticking metallic powders and to restrain a temperature of products from rising by installing a high pressure spray nozzle in the strip outlet side of a rolling mill and spraying an oil of a specific high pressure on both surfaces of a strip after the strip passes between rolls. CONSTITUTION:A strip 3 delivered from a drum 5 is passed between a couple of rotating rolls 2 and 2 to be rolled. In that time, a valve 13 is opened to spray an oil such as a mineral oil, sucked by a high pressure pump 14 from a tank 15, from nozzles 11a and 11 on both surfaces of the strip 3 which has just been rolled by a high pressure of 50-100kg/cm<2>. The strip 3 is wound on a drum 6 after sticking metallic powders, even fine powders, are removed completely by that spraying. When the succeeding stage rolling is carried out by inverting drums 5, 6 and rolls 2, 2 followed by reversing the strip 3, a valve 12 is opened to spray the high pressure oil on both the surfaces of the strip 3 from nozzles 10a and 10b. |
