PURPOSE:To improve the working efficiency of a sorting treatment and to reduce the time for operation by permitting the input of the number of copies even if said number exceeds the number of bins of a sorter so that the need for the calculation of the number of repetition and plural times of the input operations of the number of copies is eliminated. CONSTITUTION:The sorter 46 of a copying machine body 1 is stacked and disposed with plural bins 53 in multiple stages and is internally disposed turnably with a main paper conveying belt 48 and an auxiliary paper conveying belt 50. The paper passes between both belts and is contained in any of the bins 53 in the stage of the sorting operation. A paper detecting sensor consisting of an LED 54 and a photodetector 55 is provided near the belt 50 of the bins 53. The number of the copying operations is calculated with respect to the difference between the number of copies and the number of bins and the operation is detected by a partition plate 9 when the inputted number of copies exceeds the number of the bins 53. The discharge of the paper is then executed by the paper detecting sensor. The sorting machine function is thus efficiently executed. |
