PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of zinc dendrite and increase of reaction over-voltage by making a zinc-bromine cell in a rotary construction. CONSTITUTION:Interposed between two retainer plates 14 on both ends is a round shaped positive electrode 18 which is, without any diaphragm, opposed by a negative electrode made of the same carbon plastic. Multiple pairs of these positive and negative electrodes a laminated to form a single cell 13. Opening 15 is an electrolyte inlet and the cell 13 is rotated by a rotary shaft 16 fixed to it. The electrode 18 is made of carbon plastic electrode. By this configuration, increase of reaction over-voltage and generation of zinc dendrite which occur in a static cell can be prevented and it can be made compactly with light weight because it does not require electrolyte solution circulating device to be installed which in necessary for an electrolyte circulating cell. |
