PURPOSE:To improve the tracking to surface deflection of a magnetic disc by cutting off partially a face opposite to a floating face of a slider while leaving a part being a support of a magnetic conversion element at the side ace so as to make the face partially thin. CONSTITUTION:The face A opposite to the floating face of the slider 11 is cut off partially while leaving a part 2a being a support of the magnetic conversion element of the side face so as to be made partially thin. Since the side face being a thin film forming face of the slider has a wide area as conventionally, a desired thin film magnetic conversion element is formed and the face opposite to the floating face of the slider is cut off partially to make the weight of the slider light and the moving capability of a magnetic head assembly including the slider is improved. |
