Elevator platforms. Improvements to elevator platforms of the type having two columns 1 and 2 joined at their lower end by a crosspiece 3, each column 1-2 comprising guiding means for a carriage 4-15 provided with support arms 5-8, one of the columns 1 comprising a motor 16 for controlling the movement of the carriages 4-15 in synchronism in both directions along the guiding means, characterised in that each column 1 and 2 is supported by a base 25, 25a mounted in a tilting manner on the crosspiece, the tilting axes 38, 39 of the said columns 1 and 2 being inclined with respect to the axis of the crosspiece 3 so that, in a transport position, the said columns may be laid one beside the other against the crosspiece 3. <IMAGE>
