Covering strip for distributor components

The covering strip is used for electric-shock protection and for marking connecting elements in distributors in telephone technology. It has a narrow section and a broad section. The narrow section covers a row of connecting elements (2) to which the lines leading to the subscribers are connected. The broad section covers the connecting elements of a distributor component, which connecting elements are arranged on both sides of plug openings (3) in a distributor component (1). The connecting elements (2) for the jumper lines remain freely accessible. The broad section is arranged in one of the end regions of the covering strip. The connecting elements (2), which are allocated to the subscribers, of a plurality of distributor components (1) arranged side by side form a cohesive distributor panel. <IMAGE>
