Provided are a tire tread rubber composition for a bus or a truck which is improved in heat resistance and abrasion resistance, and a tire containing the tread comprising the composition. The tire tread rubber composition comprises 100 parts by weight of a rubber material which comprises a natural rubber and a butadiene rubber having a cis content of 98% or more; and 0.5-5 parts by weight of an aramid monofilament. Preferably the rubber material is 50-80 parts by weight of a natural rubber; and 50-80 parts by weight of a butadiene rubber having a cis content of 98% or more. Preferably the aramid monofilament has a Young's modulus of 20-22 GPa, a tensile strength of 3,000-35,000 MPa and an elongation of 1-10 %. |
