The trolley (1) comprises a double set of bars (3, 4, 6) articulated to one another and forming a deformable triangle, the two vertical bars (3) being connected together by an upper articulated bar composed of two arms (11) and of a central element (13) and a lower articulated bar composed of two arms and a central element (14). Thus, the trolley (1) may be folded into a position of minimum bulk allowing it to be stored easily in a cupboard or in the boot of a car. The basket (2) is mounted removably on the trolley (1) and is also foldable. The use of this trolley makes it possible to make purchases in a supermarket and to transport the articles purchased to the purchaser's home, avoiding having to transfer them after passing through the cash desk. <IMAGE>
