This device consists of a generally L-shaped housing having an upwardly protruding housing section in the upper wall of which openings are formed for receiving and holding test prods or probe tips whilst in a lower housing section a compartment for accommodating accessory parts is constructed. The device can be adapted to different types of test prods or probe tips by using different adaptors. In the interior of the upwardly protruding housing section, a flat cushion of an electrically conductive material is arranged which is used for accommodating the ends of the test prods or probe tips and which is earthed. As a result, the test prods or probe tips can be reliably deposited without risk of damage and can also be stored for relatively long periods.
