In order to be able more easily to mount a suspension for the rail of a suspended railway to be fastened to a ceiling construction and adapt it to curves and inclinations of the rail, a connection member (14) is fastened adjustably on the lower flange (12) of a ceiling support and contains a threaded bore (28) which is accessible from below and is height-adjustable in one main support screw (30) of a C-shaped suspension stirrup (34) for the suspended railway rail. The shaft of the main support screw (30) extends with play through a vertical continuous bore (38) of the suspension stirrup, and a number of vertically displaceable support screws (56) arranged with a radial spacing from the vertical continuous opening (38) serve to fix the suspension stirrup which is freely adjusting in its inclination, and arranged between the head (31) of the main support screw (30) and a shoulder (42) in the continuous opening (38) are a spherical disc (46) and a ball socket (44) which is complementary to the latter (Fig. 1). <IMAGE>
