A communication system (1) for providing communication services to an end user is described, comprising
- a main operating system (12), device driver (24) and applications (17, 18, 19, 20, 21) located at the service provider side,
- computer peripherals (3) and external ports for input and output located at the end user side, wherein
- the computer peripherals (3) are connected via the external ports to the service provider by means of a secure data connection (10).
Furthermore a terminal (2) and a server (4) to be used in combination with said communication system (1) plus a method to provide communication services is described.
