<p>A commutator machine, in particular a small-size direct current motor with at least one pair of permanent magnets (11) supported on a magnetic return-circuit section (10) and made from a uniform ferrite material or a composite material with highly-coercive and highly-remanent areas along the periphery of an armature (15) rotating inside the stand (12). By selecting appropriate ferrite materials, depending on the requirements for the strength of the excitation field or the demagnetization strength, and by the proposed dimensioning of the armature diameter (dA), magnet thickness (DM) and thickness of the return-circuit section (DR), it is possible to achieve an optimum design for the motor by seeking to obtain the maximum possible output for the smallest possible weight.</p> |
