CONDUCTIVE FILM FOR PACKAGING

A conductive film comprises a transparent matrix of a thermoplastic resin having short conductive fibers in contact with one another dispersed therein such that the film has an opacity of not more than 30% and a surface resistivity of not more than 1 x 10<8> OMEGA cm. The conductive film is produced by mixing a thermoplastic synthetic pulp slurry with the short conductive fibers, forming a raw paper sheet from the resultant mixture by means of paper-making apparatus and heating the raw paper sheet under pressure at a temperature higher than the melting point of the thermoplastic synthetic pulp. The film is useful for packaging electronic components.
