A handle made of thermoplastic and intended in particular for domestic articles can be provided, in an efficient manner, with a multicolour appearance and with decorations if the decorative pattern and/or the letters of the inscription are raised or flush with respect to the handle and the surface of the core of the handle has a thermoplastic coating which is produced by injection moulding, encloses the decorative pattern and/or the letters of the inscription at their edge and is a different colour with respect to the colour of the decorative pattern and/or the inscription.
