PURPOSE:The titled composition useful for cosmetic, drugs, detergents for cloth, etc., capable of always providing a high-viscosity, transparent system without using various additives, comprising a specific quaternary ammonium salt. CONSTITUTION:The aimed gel composition containing preferably 0.5-15wt% quaternary ammonium salt shown by the formula(R1 and R2 are 10-22C alkyl; R3 and R4 are 1-3C alkyl; X is C1 or Br). This transparent gel is produced by stirring an aqueous solution containing the quaternary ammonium salt at a temperature <= the phase transition temperature of the aqueous solution to prepare a milk white vehicle dispersion, freezing it at <= the freezing point and further thawing under heating. |
