METHOD FOR OFFERING PARTIALLY ISOLATED EXECUTION ENVIRONMENT FOR APPLICATIONS AND DIGITAL DEVICES USING THE SAME

A method for providing an execution environment partially isolated to a plurality of applications and a digital information device using the same are provided efficiently to terminate a thread and arrange shared resources in a VM executing the application according to execution/termination of the application. An application manager(250) processes the execution and the termination of the applications. An application thread manager(260) manages the threads by discriminating the thread for each application. An application resource manager(270) manages the resources used for execution and the termination by isolating the resources used for each application. The application thread manager manages a system thread group, a main thread group and a terminator thread forming the system thread group, a main thread forming the main thread group, a thread group, and the thread derived from the thread for each application. The application resource manager includes a file manager controlling I/O(Input/Output) of files used by the application and a socket manager controlling the I/O of sockets used by the application.
