<p>PURPOSE:To enhance deodorizing effect by a simple and small-sized apparatus, by passing malodorous gas through a contact apparatus having a filter material adsorbing an aqueous solution of a deodorant by a capillary phenomenon and a mist catcher mounted therein. CONSTITUTION:An aqueous solution having deodorizing function selected corresponding to a malodorous component is stored in a storage tank 10 through an aqueous solution replenishing pipe 9 and a pump 11 is driven to supply said solution to the nozzle 7 provided to a main body 12 through a conduit 12 to store the same in the aqueous solution storage part 4 inside the main body 1. The deodorizing filter material 5 such as a nonwoven fabric provided in the main body 1 under tension in a state immersed in the storage part 4 at the lower part thereof uniformly adsorbs the aqueous solution in the storage part 4 by a capillary phenomenon. The gas to be deodorized sent in from a gas introducing pipe 2A is passed through the deodorizing filter material 5 and the malodorous component in the gas is absorbed by the aqueous solution adsorbed by the filter material 5 to deodorize the gas. Water droplets contained in deodorized gas are collected by a mist catcher 6 so as not to escape the aqueous solution out of the main body and purified gas is exhausted from an exhaust pipe 3A.</p> |
