<p>The invention discloses a method for providing content usage information, which includes the following steps: content usage information is provided in slices of service guide(SG); said content usage information is displayed on terminals according to the associations of service guide slices before the users' subscription. The invention enables users to see the content usage information before the subscription, so that the users can make reasonable decisions according to the information, and the disadvantages of service withdrawals and complains due to disagreement of content usage limit between users and service providers are avoided. The invention also discloses a system and a service server for carrying out the method set out above.</p>
