摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To provide the titled composite material of outstanding mechanical properties, i.e., significantly improved in shear strength and flexural impact strength, composed of specific hybrid fiber and plastic material. CONSTITUTION:The objective composite material with an interlaminar shear strength >=9kg/mm<2> and flexural impact strength >=250kg.cm/cm<3> consisting of (A) hybrid fiber composed of inorganic fiber, carbon fiber, glass fiber, boron fiber, aramid fiber, and carbon-cored silicon carbide fiber with said inorganic fiber containing silicon, titanium, zirconium, carbon and oxygen which is made up of i) noncrystalline substance constituted by Si, M, C, and O, ii) each crystal line ultrafine particles of a size <=500Angstrom of beta-SiC, MC, solid solution from beta-SiC and MC, and MC1-x and aggregate of noncrystalline SiO2 and M2O, and iii) mixed system comprising said noncrystalline substance and ultrafine particles (where, M is Ti or Zr, 0<x<1) and (B) a plastic material.</p>
