The tank comprises a liquid-metal emptying pipe (7) passing through the orifice (2) of the metal casing (1), in such a way that one of its ends is located near the bottom of the casing (1), a shut-off valve (10) and a connection (11) which are fastened to the pipe (7), and an inductor (14) arranged round the pipe (7) near the bottom and associated with an electrical supply (18). A sliding field producing an electromagnetic pumping of liquid metal in the pipe (7) is thus generated.
