PURPOSE:To obtain the titled fiber capable of satisfying a high numerical aperture and a low transmission loss, maintaining inherent advantages of an organofluoropolysiloxane having a heat resisting and an oil resisting properties. CONSTITUTION:The clad of the titled fiber is constituted from a cured polymer which is obtd. by the curing reaction of the organofluoropolysiloxane contg. a vinyl group and the fluorosilicone contg. a hydrogen atom, and which contains >=30wt% a fluorine content, in the formation of the titled fiber comprising a quartz or an optical glass as a core and the organopolysiloxane as a clad. Thus, the organofluoropolysiloxane contg. the vinyl group is a copolymerized polysiloxane composed of a hydrocarbon siloxane unit and a polysiloxane unit contg. a polyfluoroalkyl group, and the amount of the hydrocarbon siloxane unit contained in the prescribed copolymer is 20-75mol%. And the organofluoropolysiloxane contg. the vinyl group has the compd. shown by the formula wherein Q is a polyfluoroalkyl group, Me is a methyl group (m)/(l) is 0.54-3, (m+l) is >=80. |
