PURPOSE:To enable easy preparation of damping water with mixing ratios suitable for complicated printing conditions, by a method wherein an aqueous solution containing a hexacyanoferrate (II) and a phosphoric acid salt is mixed with an aqueous solution containing specified substances, immediately before us. CONSTITUTION:An aqueous solution containing a hexacyanoferrate (II) and a phosphoric acid salt is mixed with an aqueous solution containing a phytic acid or a salt thereof and an inorganic or another organic acid or a salt thereof, immediately before use. The hexacyanoferrate (II) is represented by the general formula M4[Fe(CN)6], wherein M is Li, Na, K, NH4, Rb, Cs or the like. The phosphoric acid salt is orthophosphate, primary phosphate or secondary phosphate of an alkali metal, ammonium or the like. The phytic acid salt is an alkali metal salt, ammonium salt or an amine salt. As the inorganic or another organic acid or a salt thereof, at least one such compound is used singly or in combination. The damping water thus prepared is free of many problems which would occur where the hexacyanoferrate (II) and the phytic acid salt coexist in high concentrations, and the mixing ratio of the components can be easily controlled. |
