The brake is applied by pedalling backwards, and its disc is maintained on the crank wheel (4) by a stop component. The disc activates the brakes of the cycle by means of an attached wire (8) or rod. The brake also has an arm (9) at the free end of which is a component (10) which, when back-pedalling occurs, locates against the cycle chain (12) and slackens it. |
