<p>PURPOSE:To efficiently separate and recover SOx gas with extremely high permselectivity, by using a modified polyvinyl alcohol type polymer membrane containing a unit containing a sulfinyl group and a vinyl alcohol group as essential constitutional units. CONSTITUTION:As a unit containing a sulfinyl group, one formed by the addition reaction of vinyl sulfoxide with the hydroxyl group of a PVA type polymer or one formed by saponifying a copolymer of vinyl sulfoxide and vinyl ester is pref. This unit is used as the copolymer with a vinyl alcohol unit. A polymerization degree is pref. 200-500 and the saponification degree of vinyl ester is pref. 50mol% or more. The unit containing the sulfinyl group is contained within a range of 5-50mol%. By this method, a membrane capable of separating a SOx component with high permselectivity can be obtained.</p> |
