PURPOSE:To form resin onto the inner surface of the main body of a pipe joint with a bent flow passage such as elbow, tee or the like at the intersection of flow passages and at the same time chamfer the intersection of formed resin passages by a method wherein a mandrel, at the tip of which a chamfering chip to form a chamfer on the inner side of a bent flow passage is equipped, is employed and molten resin is injected between the mandrel and the interior of the pipe joint for molding. CONSTITUTION:Mandrels 2 and 2', each of which forms a flow passage 11 and a pipe inserting part 12, are inserted from the inner surfaces at both ends of a joint main body 1 in the directions intersecting with each other at right angles. A chip 3 to form a chamfer 31 onto the inner side at the perpendicular intersection of resin coating layers is equipped at the tip of the mandrel 2'. When the mandrels 2 and 2' under the above-mentioned state are inserted in the joint main body, the tips of the mandrels closely contact with each other at an abutting part 22. After that, when molten resin is injected, the resin is packed through a runner 21 and a hole bored at the abutting part 22 at the tip of the mandrel 2 into a space made by the outer surfaces of the mandrels 2 and 2' and the inner surface of the joint main body 1 so as to form a resin coating layer onto the inner surface of the joint main body. |
