<p>PURPOSE:To decrease constituting elements and to simplify construction by constituting a sensor of a photoconductive surface, diffraction grating and photodetecting element array. CONSTITUTION:Light past an optical fiber 3 is made incident on the photoconductive surface 2 in an input part 4. The incident light propagates in the surface 2 while refracting therein and arrives at the diffraction grating 5. The light is diffracted by the diffraction grating 5. The degree of diffraction varies with wavelength. The respective element of the photodetecting element array 6 generates the voltage or current proportional to the intensity of the incident diffracted light and inputs the same to a data processor. The sensor consists of the smaller number of constituting elements than heretofore and the elements thereof are made solid state. Since no moving parts are used, the construction is simplified over the entire part.</p> |
