<p>PURPOSE:To establish a vehicle assembly means for a mixed several kind vehicle-model assembly line system, by providing a positioning device for giving rotational and rectilinear displacements to a body side support fixture and a drive device for moving an under body jig carrier vehicle along two stage upper and lower circulating paths. CONSTITUTION:A vehicle body assembly line has a temporarily tapping station 3 and an additionally tapping station which are arranged in the mentioned order along a conveyer path for a tacked vehicle body 22, and is provided with an underbody jig carrier vehicle 4 for introducing an underbody 2 mounted on a skid 1 to the temporarily tapping station 3. In order to deliver a body side 6 locked to a support fixture 5 to an assembling position on the temporarily tapping station 3, there is provided a slide device 7 for giving rotational and rectilinear displacements to the support fixture 5. Further, a drive device 10 for transferring the jig carrier vehicle 4 along two stage upper and lower circulating paths 8, 9 is provided in the temporarily tapping station 3.</p> |
