<p>The present invention provides a magazine for cartridge-type ammunition for guns mounted in amoured turrets, which comprises cylindrical containers, each of which is adapted to receive and feed a cartridge, said containers being arranged parallel to each other and to the axis of the bore of the gun and moving in a continuous track in horizontal planes disposed one above the other transversely to the axis of the bore of the gun and behind the gun, the cylindrical containers being articulated at their end faces by pivot pins to a transport chain that moves in guide rails and guided by means of two guide pins that are secured to each container and located outside the path of movement of the pivot pin in additional guide rails inside the magazine, one of which guide rails is restricted to a sector in the turning area of the continuous track so that the containers move around the track in the same position, the two guide pins being arranged at different distances from the pivot pin, and second, separate guide-rail sectors in the vicinity of the turns in the continuous track for the guide pin that is at the greatest distance, these having entrance ramps at both their ends.</p> |
