The frame has two glass-retaining strips (20a,20b), which abut against one another at an angle and form a miter. The strips are arranged on a frame profile (10a,10b). A support profile (30) forms a contact surface. The strips are having an outer surface and a shank, which is opposite to a glass disk, and another shank, which is opposite to the frame profile. The other shank abuts the frame profile and forms a contact point, to pivot the strips from a basic position to an end position. The other shank is provided with a guiding ridge, which braces at the contact surface of the support profile. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a glass retaining strip for a frame, which has an outer surface (2) a method for the assembly of a glass retaining strip, which involves finding a glass retaining strip in the starting position.
