NEW MATERIAL:The pyrazine derivative of formula I (R is lower alkyl, lower alkoxy or halogen) and its salt. EXAMPLE:3-Methyl-N-(1H-5-tetrazolyl)pyrazine-2-carboxamide. USE:Remedy for bronchial asthma, allergic gastroenteric disorder, hay fever, uriticaria, allergic rhinitis, etc. It has excellent anti-allergic and expectrant activities. PREPARATION:The compound of formula I can be produced by converting the pyrazine-2-carboxylic acid derivative of formula II to its reactive derivative and reacting with 5-aminotetrazole derivative of formula III in an inert organic solvent. |
