PURPOSE:To stably and efficiently drive a laser by disposing a driving circuit for supplying a driving current to a semiconductor laser near the laser, thereby reducing a noise to an exterior. CONSTITUTION:A driving circuit 3 for supplying a driving current of a driving device for modulating a light intensity directly by varying the driving current of a semiconductor laser 2, to the laser 2 is disposed near the laser 2. For example, an automatic output regulator (APC) 4 inputs an oscillation indicating signal of the laser 2 from preferential control means or an information signal oscillated by modulating the laser 2. Transistors 32, 33 supply driving currents through a correcting circuit 34 to the laser 2 by modulation input signals 42, 42 output from the APC 4 to pulse-oscillate the laser 2 at high speed. The laser 2 is disposed near the circuit 3 to extremely shorten the collector of the transistor 32 and a transmission line for connecting the circuit 34 with the laser 2. |
