<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a high-quality coke, as well as to improve specific physical properties and composition of raw chemical materials formed as by-products, by carbonizing coal to which a specific additive has been added. CONSTITUTION:Coal is blended with 0.8-0.001wt% additive which decomposes at 450 deg.C or below to form a methylene radical (e.g.: PS) and, if necessary, a bitumen (e.g.: coal tar), followed by carbonization, thereby obtaining a high- quality coal having a high strength after a small CO2 reaction and/or micro strength as well as coal tar having a specific gravity (15/4) of 1.16-1.20 and a high content of beta-resin component.</p> |
