PURPOSE:To prevent a slip of a joint area, by a method wherein a sleeve, longer than the length in the direction of the axis of a pair of shaft joint flanges and having plural circumferential grooves formed in an inner and an outer peripheral surface and alternately in a longitudinal direction, is situated in a gap between the bolt holes of the shaft joint flanges and the outer periphery of a fastening bolt. CONSTITUTION:A sleeve 10 is disposed in a gap 9 between bolt holes 4 and 5 of a pair of shaft joint flanges 1 and 2 and the outer periphery of a fastening bolt 6. Since the sleeve 10 is longer given amount than a total of lengths of the bolt holes 4 and 5, the sleeve is resiliently deformed by fastening of fastening nuts 7 and 8 and is forced into pressure contact with the fastening bolt 6 and the bolt holes 4 and 5. In which case, circumferential grooves 12 and 13 may be formed in the outer and the inner peripheral surface of the sleeve 11 alternately in an axial direction. Thus, a clearance 9, increased by fastening of the fastening nuts 7 and 8, is absorbed through deformation of the sleeve 10 or 11, and this enables prevention of a slip of a joint area. |
