PURPOSE:To obtain a rust preventive for iron rods reinforcing lightweight gas concrete cured with steam by blending a binder consisting of one or more kinds of aqueous emulsions or latexes of styrene resin and an aqueous asphalt emulsion with inorg. powder as the principal component. CONSTITUTION:This rust preventive for iron rods reinforcing lightweight gas concrete cured with steam is composed of a binder consisting of 5-25pts.wt. (expressed in terms of solid matter) one or more kinds of aqueous emulsions or latexes of styrene resin and 5-15pts.wt. (expressed in terms of solid matter) aqueous emulsion and 60-90pts.wt. (expressed in terms of solid matter) inorg. powder other than cement powder as the principal component. Limestone powder is used as 1-10pts.wt. of the inorg. powder.
