PURPOSE:To change tools smoothly and quickly and improve reliability and durability, by providing two links, two cylindrical cams and a screw can with a drive shaft driven by a motor and the like in an automatic tool changer of a machine tool. CONSTITUTION:When a cam shaft 2 mounted on a housing 1 is driven by a motor, two cylindrical cams 7, 8 rotate at the same time, and intermediate rollers 14, 17 which engage with cam grooves 5, 6 cause links 13, 16 to angularly swing in the right and left around supporting points 12, 15. Rollers 30, 36 at another ends of the links 13, 16 engage with a groove 27 of a screw can 26 of an arm shaft 18 and with a groove 35 of a shift guide 33, which causes the arm shaft 18 to move forward and backward, and causes an arm 19 attached to a tip of the arm shaft 18 to angularly swing in accordance with the groove configulations of the cylindrical cam 7, 8. While a cam shaft 2 is going through a cycle, the arm 19 excecutes four operations (A)-(D) for changing tools. |
